mail warning, when contracts duration is ended

Hallo,
I'm using GLPI and it helps work more effective.
I manage contracts with it, but I need mails from GLPI as warnings, if any of the contracts is ended.
And thats my Problem. The build in GLPI-solution doesn't work, it sends e-mails for any new ticket, but no one when contracts are ended.
Maybe anyone could help me with this Problem?

Or could anyone give me a tip how I can set up a cron that proofs if a contract is near it's end and send an infomail for these contracts.

If you need to know it, we use an OpenSuse-Server to run GLPI.

GLPI manage such a thing you need to configure notifications correctly to do it.
