4203 Error during the database updateTable 'glpi.glpi_config' doesn't
Ok,
Since I can't read French very well i'm not sure what was happening in this topic, but I did have the same error during installation step #3.

I too noticed that the database I created for GLPI was empty and from what I could make of teh above topic simply importing the SQL dump manually was enough to get past Step 3.
After that everything seemed to work fine.

What is your php configuration about the max memory ?
Try to increase it.

What is your php configuration about the max memory ?

I had the same problem and executing sql script via phpmyadmin result in a version syntax conflict. So I upgraded mysql server to 5.0 and complited the installation without any error. Hope it will be usefull.
