Don't understand group, profiles and LDAP authentication

Hello,

I want to setup integration with ActiveDirectory to authenticate my users, but cannot figure out how to stablish the correspondence between AD groups and GLPI permissions:
.- I have achieved AD authentication, with the DC configuration and a user to bind when searching the AD at the "Administration" form.
.- Now I want to create an AD group for 'normal' users, another one for admins and so on... but don't know how.

What are GLPI groups used for? Because I suppose the GLPI profiles are the one who assign permissiones, but don't know how to assignn a profile to a given group...

How do I bind AD groups yo GLPI grpus/profiles?
