Howto Add more items Inventory Tree

Dear All,

GLPI is an excellent feature. I would be grateful if someone may give me hint on howto add more items under the main Inventory DropDown. I want to create items like UPS, Projectors etc.

In addition how we can get more out of the exisiting reporting available like customized reports for equipment movement from one campus building to the other.

Look forward for some guidance.
