Groups ...

I have one question, I can actually recall, but groups in version 0.68 is only preliminary right ?

For example a computar in Group A is being seen by a Person in group A and another in group B.

This will not happen on version 0.70 .. am I right ?

Thanks.

Re: Groups ...

0.7 will introduce the notion of entity which allows different visibility of the global inventory.

Groups means set of people but do not manage visibility problem.

Re: Groups ...

This sounds very promising for us.  We are strongly considering implementing GLPI in our multi-client environment but not limiting what our clients can view is a real problem.  Can I assume that I can have entityA, entityB and entityC and say:

1) entityA can only see entityA's assets
2) entityB can only see entityB's assets
3) entityC can see both entityA's and entityB's assets

Is the concept of entity being extended to the Help Desk? For example, using the above division:

1) entityA can only see entityA's tickets
2) entityB can only see entityB's tickets
3) entityC can see both entityA's and entityB's tickets

Is there an anticipated release date for 0.7? Is there a stable beta available? Thanks all - John

Re: Groups ...

yes entity is avalaible too for HelpDesk
you can test svn version, the notion of entity is still implemented
there's no release date for the 0.70
