about database connection
When I setup the ocsng mode as follows:
OCSweb host 172.20.18.232
Name of the OCS database glpi
OCSweb database user root
OCSweb user password ******
Then it displays "Connection to the OCS NG database failed".How does it happen?

When I change the OCSwebhost from serverip to localhost it displays "Invalid OCS NG Version: RC3 is required"

That sounds more like an OCS install issue. I'd post your question here: http://forums.ocsinventory-ng.org/
And a side note, if you didn't change the db defaults, the db name should be ocsweb and the user should be ocs
