Hook for user's settings

Hello,
Just a question: is there any hook that I can use when settings (user's preferences) form is called?
I want to add a field in the user's settings. I want to show a field, and also save it.

You cannot add a field in the user pref form.

But you can add a tab which will manage this information, as for any other object.
