Author don't receive notification email

We added a new notification template and put the recipient as the author and the author didn't receive the notification email.
We did the below

We activated the "Notifications for my changes" in the general setup and in the profile of the user sending the form.
We added a group in the recipient all the users receive the notification email except the author.
GLPI current version is 10.0.15
form creator plugin 2.13.9

What can we do else to solve this issue?

There are several possible causes. For example, have a look at the thread on this forum with topic id 173469 ("Index » English support  » [solved]Creating a simple email template for end users")

I also hit this issue, and for me the problem was that /var/log/glpi/mail.log was not writeable by PHP, which I figured out from the PHP error logs. I'd check your logs for any clues.

Something else I found: I was using external triggering of front/cron.php but I had the run mode set to GLPI for some of the automatic actions. Once I changed it to CLI for everything, the events all started to be scheduled and run.
