Changing password in phpmyadmin does not allow GLPI to start

Days ago I had to reset the password of the root user of phpmyadmin, after much research I was able to reset the password of the root user, but now when I try to load the GLPI main page it gives me the following errors:

"Warning: mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in C:\Apache24\htdocs\glpi\src\DBmysql.php on line 250"

A link to the SQL server could not be established. Please check your configuration.
