Add new Notice Period for contracts

Hi All,
I have some use cases for which I need to increase the granularity of the notice period like having 5 days where the smallest by default in 1 month.
In dropdowns, I don't see anything related, and even so I could add it somewhere in the DB, I need also GLPI to interpret it correctly.
Are you aware of an easy solution, or is it blocked by design?

The contract notice period is stored in the database as-is, so it represents the number of months. Even if the unit was changed in the dropdown, this would require automatically changing existing values in the database which could be difficult given the different numbers of days in a month.
If you need something shorter than a month, you would need some other solution that checks the expiration date and sends a notification either via a custom plugin or an external script that uses the GLPI API.
