Hi everyone
I've a problem with the SNMP on GLPI.
I've a network in which there are 2 PCs, a Linux server (I installed GLPI here), a Windows client and 2 routers Cisco (172.16.0.1, 172.16.0.100).
I want to monitor the two routers with SNMPv2. The SNMP is active and send the SNMP request to Linux server (192.168.0.100).
I tested snmp on my server Linux with
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 172.16.0.1
and it works.
I've install FusionInvenotory, create the task, create SNMP credential ( community public without auth ), create IP Range ( 172.16.0.1-254) but I can't disover the routers.
Where is the problem?
Sorry for the banal question..
Can I discover these routers with fusioninvenotry without use an agent?

hi
I had a similar problem with GLPI Inventory plugin and it was my rules that blocked the import.
if this is not the case, check the community or try with the GLPI agent and GLPI inventory.

Hi
Which rules? The rules on GLPI or the firewall's rules?
If I don't understand I can't install the GLPI agent on the router Cisco, correct?
For this reason I used the FusionInventory plugin.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks

you need a agent (you can take the glpi agent 1.4) who do the discovery task whit the plugin GLPI Inventory and if you want more information you need a seconde task (GLPI inventory"SNMP").
i talk about the network equipment rule on glpi, im not sure that call like this in english.
you cant put a agent on routeur.
sorry if my english is bad

Hi Oragon, thanks for your support.
relax, your english is better than mine
so, if I understand I can't install the agent on routers. There are methods for integrate my routers or any network device in GLPI inventory without use an agent?
Any solution is good.

hi
i'm not sure, for me you need a agent to do the request SNMP.
you can put that on a raspberry or a serveur and never touch it again if that work.
And like i said before you create 1 task on glpi inventory plugin for the discovery and if you want more information about your network device you put a other tack for the network inventory.
