How computers network ports mapping work?

Hi, everyone
Please explain or point me to information about computers network ports mapping. How fusioninventory plugin mapping computers network ports to network equipment ports?
We setup agent, inventory tasks. We see network ports on network devices and computers. But all computers ports did not mapping to anywhere. We can manualy mapping them. How we setup automapping?

Hi.
I'm not sure if I understand you correctly.
You need to make an inventory of switches (SNMP). But first you need to complete the discovery task.

Thank you for answer.
We setup discovery and inventory tasks and got switch ports information.
In network device tab we see all switch ports

One more thing: we see swithc connections to other network devices. but did not see them to servers
