Remove columns in default Inventory table/listing?

Does anyone know which files I can edit to remove or hide certains column in the INVENTORY section. For example, I want to remove the "Manufacturer" & "Last Updated" column in the tables for the Inventory of Computers, devices, printers etcs...  I wish there was way to hide or collapse column on demand or could this a features, or AJAX can help.

administration / setup / display search result list

and you choose your columns..
