Different SMTP server than receiver

We are using 0.80.2.

Receiver is working for a single mailbox and working well.   We are experiencing a significant slowdown in the interface and I believe the issue has something to do with the point in the transaction where GLPI is trying to send an email.  We are going through Google Apps at this point to pick up incoming mail, but we do have in internal SMTP server that might be able to handle the outbound mail much more efficiently.

Is outgoing mail directed to the receiver account or does it default to how the server is setup?  (Centos 5/postfix for us).

thanks,

Re: Different SMTP server than receiver

Outgoing mail is configured in Setup->Notifications.
Here you can define your intern mail-Server and server setup is used

thats what i think-> I'm only a normal user

Re: Different SMTP server than receiver

Just in case it helps... back in 0.72.x I used to find that pages would be slow to appear.  eventually, in 0.80.x when the pseudo-cron became optional (and I turned it off for many 'features') our speed of the pages increased.

Re: Different SMTP server than receiver

I'll try turning off some of the automatic actions to see if that helps.  Thanks for the suggestion.
