Warranty Information change 'Valid to' calculation date

Is there a plan to change the 'Valid to' warranty date under the Financial Section for an inventory item?  I would like the option to use either the current warranty calculation, or have a DB entry under glpi_infocoms for a exact entered date.  The problem is when using the current Supplier Import plugin, the warranty end date calculated by glpi does not match exactly the HP/Dell End Date. 

Can this be added to the feature request list, or is there a work around currently out there to get this functionality?  How are other users handeling this?  Or if someone can point me to the area of code where the 'Valid to' calculation occurs?

ubuntu Server 10.04
MySQL 5
glpi 0.80.2
