Hi,
I'm currently using GLPI 0.78 successfully with OCS Inventory to keep track of installed hardware and software, but what I want to do is produce a report of all software items that have a value - in other words apps that were purchased/licenced and so have an 'asset value'.
The trouble is that OCS Inventory picks up everything - from the Operating System to drivers and patches. What would be ideal is some way in GLPI to flag software 'asset' items to distinguish them from Open Source apps, drivers etc.. and so control which type of items are included on a report.
Can anyone think of a good/effective way to do this? Anything helpful in 0.80?
Thanks
Edit: For the time being, I have created one software category/class called 'asset' and we're tagging the relevant software with it - does this seems to be sensible?
