Hi everybody,
I'm using a GLPI 0.78.3 software in an Ubuntu server 10.04 x64 with 2 GB of RAM. Parameters are those distribution sets on installation. Mysql database is in other server. I use LDAP identification with a separate LDAP server.
I estimate about 60-75 tickets in an average day.
I think the options that can be modified are those for PHP and Apache, and maybe for mysql client.
Has any one of you some advices about how to tune a GLPI server for performance?
What are the minimum recommendations for memory, disk, processor and so on?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I estimate around 15 technicians and a maximum of 40-50 users connected simultaneously. 65 technicians and 23000 users in total will be defined into users database. Also, over 200 tickets at day will be more realistic estimation.
We are also studying the impact our squid proxy may has on GLPI operation.
Can you, or someone else, give me some advices with these data?
Thanks again, JMD.

Tuning MySQL configuration, use PHP (to accelerate PHP), for ram I think 2 Go is OK
Is it on physical or in VM system ?

It's a ESX virtual machine.
I think when you say
use PHP (to accelerate PHP)
, there is a mistake, isn't it?

Oh sorry, use APC (to accelerate PHP)
Oh in VM so VM isn't very nice for DB (IO problem), so one solution is to load all MySQL tables in RAM so set 4 Go of RAM

MySQL DB is in a separate VM, so GLPI always wiil use network to access to MySQL.
Do you propose to increase MySQL VM memory until 4 Go/GB?
Also, may be interesting tuning mysql client on GLPI VM.

Oh nice, so your VM has only Apache + PHP, so 2Go RAM is ok, think to use APC (increase 1/3 speed for each request)
