For whatever reason none of my automatic tasks in GLPI 0.78.1 arnt running automatically even though I have then scheduled to run every 5 minutes.
Whenever I go to the following page it asks my to execute the tasks and will run manually.
http://myserver/glpi/front/crontask.php
Is there a way to automate this? Maybe even by creating a cron job.
The only task that I really care about is the mailgate.

Try searching the forum. I've answered this question probably 2 or 3 times. The way to use GLPI with a cron task is also documented on the wiki.
Now using 0.78.1 on CentOS.

Thanks for the help. I've been searching for this for abo0ut 2 days and all I found was to create a linux cron job but that hasnt worked for me since I upgraded to 0.78.1

I have the exact same problem. Our automatic actions just stopped working after about a week after the upgrade to 0.78.1 and our cron job stopped working right after the upgrade.

If you have a cron job, automatic actions must by in CLI run mode
CentOS 6.5 - CentOS 7.x
PHP 5.6 - PHP 7.x - MySQL 5.6 - MariaDB 10.2 + APC + oOPcache
GLPI from 0.72 to dev version

It still isn't running. I'm not sure what else to do.
