Hi all,
I want to upgrade my v72.4 to v0.78. I originally installed from the EPEL repo, so I am just looking for some advice on the upgrade steps to take (i'm not a linux wizard, but I am picking up a fair bit).
Should I uninstall v72.4 via yum, then install the glpi-0.78.tar.gz manually? Or should I leave the EPEL install and install v0.78 over it, or along side it?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks remi, but the last time I tried using the remi-test repo I had loads of problems with depencies it claimed it needed, but were already installed (this is why I settled with the EPEL repo). When it tried to install them (over the existing) it just failed, so I was looking for a slightly more manual approach.

Backup database.
Reinstall with 0.78.
Restore database.
On load, will upgrade database to 0.78.
Yesterday, my one year old daughter stood on her own for the first time.
Now using 0.78.1 on CentOS.

But if you don't post about this issue (on my forums) with full yum output, you will never get any help.

I think I did I was the guy who didnt't have the standard/default 'apache' user - was using 'intranet' as the user name and group instead.
Anyway, no problem. I backed up my /usr/share/glpi and MySQL directory, then manually untared the v0.78 GLPI into /usr/share/glpi. Ran the update via web browser. All went fine. Also installed the new v1.4 OCSMassImport plugin.
All very smooth
Cheers
