"App_token"

I'm trying to make the script connection (curl) with the GLPI api
However, there are 2 tabs that tell me "app_token", which one to use?(there is one that is in settings / preference and another one found in GENERAL> API)
I tested them both and always get the error "[" ERROR_WRONG_APP_TOKEN_PARAMETER "," the app_token parameter seems to be invalid; see documentation in your browser at http://GLPI/apirest.php/#ERROR_WRONG_APP_TOKEN_PARAMETER "]"

app_token is set in general>api   depending on the IP that is Calling API.

is app token passed in headers or in url ?

app_token is set in general>api   depending on the IP that is Calling API.

app_token => general > api
user_token => preferences > "API token"
