assigning a profile to a group?

How does one assign a profile to a group (and thereby to all members, current and future, of that group)?.

I see how to assign a profile to a user, but I think it makes more sense to assign a profile to one group one time, rather than nine users nine times, so I must be not finding it.

hello
you can do it using ldap authentication, and right rules.
a simple rule should be something like this :

criteria :
LDAP group is xxxx
action :
Assign profile yyy
Assign entity ZZZ (not mandatory, if you've another rule whose result is assign entity)
