Any ideas on hot to inventory Virtual Machines.
There's a post by rfoster dated 9-3-2009 linking to a plugin http://www.opensourcegov.net/projects/g … ions/files which is unreachable.
Any ideas?
Thanks

All my virtual machines report themselves. I don't do anything special - the OCS agent runs, updates OCS, and they get imported into GLPI.

Hello,
I also need a plugin to track virtual machines and link them to their physical server. So far I've only seen the link in the first post, which is no longer accessible and the suggestion to create a virtual machine as a device, then link it on the computer tab connections.
Is there any plugin to perform the linking of the virtual machines running on a server?
Also, if I have a dual-boot on some machines and want to have an inventory of both Windows and Linux on the same machine, is it possible to have them linked together? Right now I have two inventory records of the same machine, one with Windows and one with Linux.
Thank you in advance,
Regards.
Dan.

Hi,
there is the Ver. 1.1.0 of the Relatins plugin right here. It works with 0.72.x
https://forge.indepnet.net/projects/relations/files
At Inventory -> Computers it gives you a tab Relations, were you select the server running the virtualisation and which VMs are on it (Parent -> Child -> Sibling)
Have fun
Frank
Still nuts about GLPI
Running glpi 0.84.1 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Why are my posts written so poorly: I was the best dyslexic in my class.
