Hi I'm new to this software. Under the management tab, I see how to add the equipment as purchased. But how should I add equipment as being leased?

Add your leased equipment (whatevery it is) via inventory agent or manually into the corresponding section, e.g. hardware, software, network, etc.) then create the lease contract under "Management --> Contracts" with a contract type "lease" (you probably have to create that one) and associate the created equipment to that contract.
