Change the type of equipment

I work at a company where about 500+ users.
We decided to introduce GLPI with Fusioninventory.
But there was such a problem: Some printers were defined by the "device", not in the "Printer" category.
In this situation, we can not distribute the cartridges.
How can I move the printer from one category to another?

A big request to the developers to add a "comment" field to the cartridges. When our company runs the cartridges, we make the certificates for refueling where we indicate the inventory number of the cartridge.
