Computer history report?

Hi, is there any way to generate a log of computer hardware changes?

The history section under computer often displays the fusioninventory agent deleting bunch of hw components just to re-add them. This is rather confusing.

What i am looking for is to see e.g. that ram on a server increased due to installation of few new ram sticks (along with list of those that were added), new drives were added, cpu was replaced, etc.

Ideally, i would generate those reports and store them in svn, to track hardware more easily.

Adding to this question, I need to save all changes in PC components in the history and set up notifications to pull out certain stories and report by email
