Auto assigning tickets by email address

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but I couldn't find anything similar.

I have setup GLPI and all is going great but I would like to be able to auto assign tickets to users by the email address that the ticket is sent to.

We have aliases setup for the helpdesk email address that are userinitials.helpdesk@domainname e.g. abc.helpdesk@domainname and we are sending tickets to these addresses which are sent to the glpi mailgateway address.

What I want to do if it is possible is setup rules so that emails sent to adc.helpdesk@domainname get assigned to user abc

mailgates set request source as email you can use it on the business rules to make the job because a mailgate is liked to an entity.
Criterias like : request source is email and entity is Y
Action like : assign to XYZ
