customized network devices?

Hello guys,

Looking for some inventory tracking software for my R&D lab... Does GLPI support asset to be a location? For example, I have a shelf (or blade server) which is an asset. I also have a card (or blade) which goes into the shelf (or blade server), can I assign this shelf or blade server to be a location of the card?
