mail issues

Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS - GLPI version 0.85.4 - Exchange 2010 in W2k8r2
SMTP connection with credencials from the shell of glpi server OK

issue 1) Setup -> Notifications -> Setup
IF password set THEN send email don't work.

issue 2) Setup -> Receivers:
Don't work, I get "Could not connect to mailgate server"
the file php-erros has the following text:

Connection Options: IMAP | (BLANK) | TLS | NO-VALIDATE-CERT
Login (use FQDN\name): full.fulldomain.com\glpi_user
