Planning

Hi,
I've just setup GLPI, and I'm having a hard time understanding how to plan for an assigned ticket. The only relevant functionality I could find is adding follow ups to a ticket, and adding planning to them, but unfortunately this does not seem to make any differences. All the follow ups I've added have planning "none"
In short, I'd really appreciate brief directions on how to plan for an assigned ticket.
