Dear All,
Is there a way when a call is logged/ticket created on behalf of a technician (Technician is in field - no access to pc for at least 4 hours) to notify him/her that a call or ticket is been created on their behalf by the Helpdesk Administrator by the means of a sms notification to the technician?

No GLPI could'nt send sms himself.
GLPI need to use a SMS gateway for that.
You could do this :
GLPI create ticket -> Glpi Send mail notification -> SMS provider receive the mail and send SMS.
