GLPI and Active Directory

I have added our AD server to the authentication and it tests correctly...however when I go to import users from that source it simply says no users to import.

I cannot see anything I am doing wrong as, with the AD testing correctly I would assume that means the link is fine.

I have checked my AD server's logs and not seeing errors on it.

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

when glpi tells you the connection to AD was successful it means that it was possible to connect to AD with the account given.

it doesn't want to say that you other parameters are good.
can an AD user logs into glpi ?

what is you platform ? version of glpi ?

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

If I try as an AD user it says unsuccessful authorization.

I am running 0.70.2 on a Suse Linux box

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

have you used the Active Directory pre configuration when you've setup your AD connection ?

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

Assuming your configuration under Authentication is ok, what do you have under "Search filter for users"? This is under Users > LDAP Link > Import New Users

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

It has (samAccountName=*) as the search filter and if I click on post it just says under that, 'no users to be imported'.

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

My AD auth was successful in sync, import adding user from external... after I remove the "connection filter" I mean leave this field as blank.

Re: GLPI and Active Directory

Fixed it.....was as stupid as my DN information needing to be case sensitive and me forgetting that!
