Network Architecture vs Graphviz

Hi to all,

First of all a big thanks out to the writers of the GLPI software - Great Job.
It's my first trial period with this open source software and I must say I looks and feels pretty good.
Easy setup - Easy configuration.
The only thing I am actually struggeling with is the Network Architecture plugin.
I installed it with the procedure so no problem there.
( fyi my glpi is running on a W2K3 server in a IIS / Mysql 5.1 / Latest php and Graphviz 2.8 installed on it ).
When I start up the plugin I can configure everything that's needed and with all attached devices.
The only problem that I am having is that the general overview - the Test Graphviz view - when I generate a report. it shows me 4 balloons with the content ' A - B - C & D '.
The question is - what am I doing wrong here.
Our what files do I need look out for? I already read some topics conserning security and so on but nothing clears out the fact of the four balloons.
So if there's somebody out there with some kind of solution or resolution for this topic Could you share it with me

Kind regards, Jethro

Re: Network Architecture vs Graphviz

Hi Tsmr;

I just had a try but without succes.
When I click the ' Generation ' link. I get the normal page but the frame which gernated for me the view is a red cross cornerd by a square.
This usually means that file is missing or wrongly loaded. But what also is strange that the page doesn't return any errors.
I don't think there is something wrong with the installation because everything is working okay only the generating part doesn't seem to work.
Security may not be the issue because IUSR_**** is added to the local admin group , only as test.

Any other ideas ?

Kind regards, Dimitri

Re: Network Architecture vs Graphviz

To all,

Problem is solved ..
The only that was mis placed was the rendering eninge to create the drawing ( view default /setup ).
By default the rendering engine was set to ' Dot ' once I changed it to ' neato ' everything worked well.

Re: Network Architecture vs Graphviz

So you have problem to see networking ports because with neato, you cannot see them..

Have you networkings ports with specials characters in there names ?

Re: Network Architecture vs Graphviz

No don't get me wrong.

Everything is working perfect now. The only thing I had to change to get the architecture plugin working was changing the rederning eninge from ' Dot ' to ' neato '.
And that fixed the issue.

Kind regards,Dimitri
