Hello,
We're looking into using this software to manager our datacentres, and love the features and plugins available. however there is one thing that appears to be missing; Anyway to enter APC power switch reboot devices.
E.g. every rack has a PDU (or 2 or 3) and every machine is connected to a port on this PDU. This would be find to use under Peripherals, except you can only connect one thing to a device.
Is there a plugin out there somewhere which allows you to make a device that's a power switch, or even better, allows you to actually reboot the machine from within the interface? Searching for this is very difficult!
Thanks and Regards
Laurie

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am looking to solve this issue as well. Thanks.

A peripheral in global mode, can be connected to more than 1 computer.
You could also see "rack" plugin (don't know is status)

Do you know how it works for the reboot?
is this PDU is using SNMP protocol?

I should have been more clear in my post. I was merely trying to connect multiple devices to the PDU, like a switch. I use the APC InfrastruXure manager software to manage the devices. I wouldn't expect to use GLPI to manage the devices. Although I'm sure an integration could be built, as the newer APC gear uses SNMP. Thanks for the quick response.

can you send me the description of snmp or to make a walk?

I just realized that a device in global mode can connect to more than one computer, but no other type of device. I have networking equipment and devices that plug into the PDUs, but you can only select computers as a connection. How can I connect devices and networking equipment to the PDUs I created as devices in global mode? Thanks.
