AD Authentication

AD Authentication not working. please help. This is becoming frustrating.

Heres my setup:
Name:
Server: IP address of DC
Basedn: DC=..,DC=..,DC=..,DC=.. (
rootdn: CN=mydomainaccount,OU=user,DC=,DC=,DC=,DC=
Pass: my password for login account account above
login field: samaccountname
Connection filter: blank
USe TLS: No
How LDAP aliases should be handled: Never deferenced (default)
Search Type: Users & Groups
Filter to search in groups: Blank
use Dn in search: Yes

Whenever i try to test the connection it says test fails.

I have even tried connecting with LDAP browser but it says failed to read entry..DC=..

something is not right

any help appreciated, thanks

stick with it and do some searching for tools that will allow you to see the exact syntax for your rootdn.  imo this is most likely the problem.
