Network architecture and network ports

Hi,

We are very bussy to configure the GLPI for our business. I have 2 questions about it, i done some research here at the forum and on internet but noting foud so i hope someone knows.

Our company has 250-300 computers, and when i connect it with a switch (in GLPI) by every computer i have to make a network port! Is there a faster way, or have i click every computer?

Is it possible to have more than one "layer"? We can see the internet network in network architecture but every hardware device what is shown in the grapic have to be in the same network range. So now i can see the computers, the printers and also the switches beceause they are in the same network range, but the modem/ router is not shown beceause he had another ip adres.

Thanks for ya help!

For the moment you havan't got other way, in the futur, it can be make automaticaly with plugin tracker whick query switch by snmp and make connections (if switch is on layer 2 and more). The plugin is under developpment and only cisco switch works for the moment.
