Setting Status after setting a Group

Hi,

it is possible that the Status of a Ticket will not be changed after adding a Group but no Technican?

Because we want to have the Status "new" till we add an Technican and not only a Group.
I would do that with Rules but it doesn't work.

Has anyone an idea?

it is not possible without modifying the source code.
