I was wondering if anyone could help me with customizing helpdesk.public.php to include a group pulldown so the ticket could be associated with a particular group. We currently use ldap authentication, and my users are put in groups based on the building they work in. For example We have 3 groups, one for each building. They are MHS, MMS, and WES. I'd like my users (post only) to be able to select one of these groups when they create a ticket, so that when I log in as an admin, I can search by requestor group=MHS, and I can resolve all issues for that particular building. I know I can also use Entities, but I believe this will be a simpler solution. Thanks all.

Anyone? I would really know how to go about doing this. I know PHP a little, so if I could just get some tips, I could give it a try myself. I'll post back here the solution if anyone wants to give me some hints. Thanks all.

Anyone have any idea on how I can do this. This is a great program and I really want it to fly in our School District, but I really need to get this working.

I am very minority skilled in php myself but if you found a form where this function was shown the way you want you can look at adding it to the area you want. Is this something that could be done with a custom group permissions?

If you look at the helpdesk.php page, there is the field that I would like to add to the page that my non-tech use to submit tickets. I just don't know how to go about copying it from helpdesk.php to this other page.
