I have been using the OCS-NG software dictionary in order to eliminate the need to list all of my software in GLPI. This is an easy way to only see licensed software in GLPI. However, every time I have an issue with synchronization between GLPI and OCS-NG I go to the forums and see posts saying to stop using the OCS-NG software dictionary. Should I continue to use this feature (in OCS-NG 1.01), or stop using it completely? Eliminating the software dictionary has fixed some of my issues in the past. Thanks.

hello
you may consider to stop using the ocsng dictionnary.
glpi's software dictionnary is easier and more flexible than ocs one.
you should test it by yourself i think on a test database

Sounds good to me. I've tested this in development and all my software comes over to GLPI without issue. I'll start using GLPI's software dictionary. Thanks.

I have a similar problem.
Currently I am using the last version of OCS Inventory NG for WIndows (Using XAMP) and the last version of GLPI and the pluging for sincronization between OCSINventory and GLPI.
I have inventoryed more or less 1100 computers but I have see that when I import the software from OCSInventory some licenses are wrongs. Example, if in my OCSInventory I have 100 Windows XP and 100 Microsoft XP, GLPI say that I have 200 WIndows XP. I thing that GLPI use bouth licenses like the are the same program.
I have tested with the check of OCS SOftware dictionary marked and I have tested without this check, but the problem continue but in diferents programs.
Somebody know how to resolve it?
