We are going to be implementing OCS/GLPI on a corporate-wide basis. We have done some testing here at our headquarters and have the products set up on a server here. One of our sites has been using the products in production for over a year on a server in that location, including both inventory and help desk features.
Our objective is to import the data from the existing production installation into our server at headquarters so that the links between the computers and help desk tickets are maintained. Then we will proceed with getting OCS inventory reporting set up from other locations.
I have emptied the existing data from all "reported data" tables in both OCS and GLPI, providing a clean slate to fill, as it were. Our site manager at the existing production location exported his OCS and GLPI data to SQL files and I have, in turn, imported those. I can see the inventory data for both. However, in GLPI, I did have to do a manual sync with OCS to get any data to display. Otherwise, the GLPI backend showed data, but the front end was not populated.
Since syncing with OCS the only thing displaying is the computer inventory info. The users, help desk tickets, and project data do not display. Although this data exists in the MySQL database, and if needed, links back to the correct computer ID's, it does not display in the related GLPI sections. It's as though the GLPI import didn't actually work, and all that is displaying is the OCS sync from the front end perspective.
Any suggestions/recommendations on how to remedy this problem? Please let me know if you have further questions and I'll be happy to answer them as best I can.
Thank you!
