Hello,
I really apreciate your work, I started last week using and promoting the use of GLPI. I work for a non profit organization in Spain. Now I have GLPI in my organization linked with LDAP and I wonder if i'ts posible to allow each LDAP user to acess and modify only their own inventory and not all the inventory.
Maybe a GLPI rule could help me? If it's a rule, can someone give me some advices about how?
Anyway I want to thank you all your work.
I would like to help you translating your main site into spanish to help the project reach more people.
I'm not pretty sure about if this is the right place to post my doubt.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
(sorry about my english)
Miguel Angel.

Only entities can be used to view a part of the inventory.
But it is not that you need.

So...
what could I do to asociate each part of the inventory to its owner and allow them to view and modify only that part?
If this is not implemented in current version, could this be useful for others and be implemented in future relases?
again thanks!

in GLPI users have no acces to inventory at all.
They can just send requests and do reservations.
It is a complete new view of GLPI.
Not really easy to include in GLPI.

I know normaly users don't have acess to inventory but I want them to have it, so I give them permisions to view and modify it by changing some permisions in the normal profile.
I wonder if adding a new row into some tables (the ones that store inventory items) and storing into that field the owner ID, I could make some modifications in the php code and show only the inventory items related to the ID of the logged user.
If this is posible, what modifications should I perform in order to get what I need?
Could this be done in other way?
Anyway Thanks again.
