How to change character set in email notifications?

Hi, we use Finnish language and have a small problem with Scandinavian characters in the email notifications
(like Ää Öö Åå, I wonder how those show up here;)

They are fine in the GLPI web browser interface but in the emails they show up like this:
Ää Öö Åå

I'm not sure what (and how) I should change to make it work: Apache (2.2.8), PHP (5.2.4), MySQL (5.0.51) or Postfix (2.5.1) configuration? Our server is Ubuntu Linux 8.04 and GLPI version 0.70.2.

Otherwise, GLPI works fine and is a great tool.

emails are sent in UTF8 so you may not have problem

Hi, thanks for your answer. I also think UTF8 should work pretty much anywhere.

I guess the problem is with our Lotus Notes client configuration then, for some reason it fails to show the special characters properly.
