Managing historic data

Hello, I'm trying to create an application based on the database from glpi but now my problem is that I can`t know what kind on change has been done over the computer, I´m using the table glpi_history, there are fields like old_value and new_value containing the detail of the change but there is a field "link action" that I think that could contain the descripcion of the action, for example "Adding of a component", "Remove of a component", etc. I think that the field link action has a relation with another table but I can´t find which one. Please help me it´s very important.

The same thing is happening with the field device_type in the table glpi_computer_device, I don´t understand how to know to which table to look in, for example device_type has a 4 and I discovered that the 4 represents the table glpi_device_hdd. But I can´t discover any other table.

I´m sorry my English is not very good, I´m from Ecuador.
Help me please as soon as posible.

thanks

For device_type, see define.php
