Hello,
I had to move the GLPI program from one server to another. I thought I could do this by backing up the database, install GLPI on the new machine, move the backup file to the new machine and import it.
But when I log in to glpi program the following happens. After putting user-id and password the browser screen goes empty on me, nothing happens anymore. I rebooted the Ubuntu 8.04 server, restarted my-sql and apache but no results.
Before logging in I can use the FAQ, this is allowed without a password.
Anybody out there any ideas? (Dutch and English possible)
Thanks.

Hello
I think you've got permissions problems
make sure the files/ directory is writable and owned by www-data

Thanks Wawa, but it doesn't solve the issue. I forgot to mention that after the FRESH install I can log in with glpi/glpi and the other standard users without a problem. It's just after the import of the backup file and logging out, the problem occurs. Permissions on the new machine are identical to the old one.
Thanks for your quick response by the way!..

Humm, are both installations in the same path ?
If not change it in db config table

I had this before, but I moved machines and upgraded at the same time.
My issue was with the AD settings. Not sure if you are using AD or not, but it may be worth checking if you are.

Dear Jean-Mathieu,
Can you give me more details about which table I need to check? The path's are indeed not the same, because one machine is Suse SLES10 and the other one is Ubuntu Server.
And for Jassen, I use AD coupling, what was your resolve to this?
Bye for now, Roy.

Found the field, edited the data (put in correct IP information and path) but unfortunately this also isn't the solution.
I'm going back to the drawing board and try a fresh install of Suse and then GLPI. Maybe it's Ubuntu thats bugging me.
Au Revoir,
Roy.
