Add custom LDAP attribute to User

We have some data in AD extensionattribute1 that we want to show up in GLPI.

I've created a new LDAP Criteria in Dropdowns, called (LDAP)Ext1, with criterion extensionattribute1, and started a sync.

I then use the Additional Fields plugin to add a new field to the Users item type.

Label: Ext1
Type: LDAP Criteria
Default values: (LDAP)Ext1

But when opening up a user, the new field shows up with the text "(LDAP)Ext1", instead of the actual content of extensionattribute1.

What am I missing here?
