How to update plugins?

Hello. Tell me, please. I have the following plugins installed: Form Creator, FusionInventory, GLPI Modifications, Reports, Dashboard. Is there any instruction on how to update these plugins when a new version comes out? How to update plugins correctly?

1. deactivate each plugin (it's more secure). Just deactivate, not desinstall
2. copy the plugin version in glpi/plugin directory to replace old one
3. reactivate and upgrade the plugin in the config/plugin part of glpi

check if plugin version is compatible with glpi version ( check issues on GitHub/forge some issues can be critical for you)
dump your database
remove old plugin folder before extract new one  ( mv glpi/plugins/myplugin  /tmp/mypluginbak)
