GLPI external network config

Hello guys, i m a newbie installing GLPI and FusionInventory so i need help!

I have a rented server in a datacenter and i installed in Windows Server 2016(to test and then to put in Linux server in the future if i like the software and want to keep using it) after all that i put GLPI working and Fusion, i tested by putting other server that i have in the same network with Fusion. After i got all the specs and etc in GLPI, but now i want to put all the pcs that i work with, that are in a external network to send info to GLPI in the datacenter!

I asked the Datacenter Admin to open the ports 80 and 445 because that is what i found online that were the ports that GLPI uses and in the installation of Fusion i put the public IP of the server so the externals pcs can send the info but  but i cant seem to send any info to the server!
Can someone please help setup this? I have really no clue what to do and i didnt find anything alike online in foruns or tutorials.

Thank you all!

Re: GLPI external network config

Hi,

From the "outside world" do you have any access to your GLPI setup ?
I would suggest to have a common URL to access it from the inside and outside of your actual network. I will make the management a lot easier.
You could use https://glpi.mycompany.org or https://cmdb.mycompany.org or anything else that suits your needs.

One you got that, just install the agent and configure it to report to https://glpi.mycompany.org/plugins/fusioninventory/ (or whatever is your GLPI URL).

IF you have security concerns, you are free to put your GLPI server behind a reverse proxy. FusionInventory also provide a tool to inventory in DMZ (http://fusioninventory.org/documentation/fi4g/dmz/).

Re: GLPI external network config

Hi
I have configured my glpi 9.4..4 + fusion 9.4 + 2.3, I have access to the path http: // myserver / servicedesk / plugins / fusioninventory / but when executing the agent on my PC in my local network the information is not sent to the portal web that is in a hosting outside my network, what could this problem be due to or how can I solve it in the fusion logs marks me error: 403 Forbidden no answer from server

 Regards.
