Hello All!
I cannot find a descriptor of many fields on the user information page when I create a new user
Can someone tell me what is:
Administrative Number
Location (is this the entity or group they are in?)
Category
Entity (this is the office they work at? If I create a root entity of "Sales" and a child entity of "Boston" because the person works there, I select "Boston"?)
OR, is there a video or really concrete descriptor for each item on this page I can view?

Administrative Number
Number to identify the worker in the society
Location (is this the entity or group they are in?)
It's the location where the user works in the society
Category
Category of the user (engineer, front office, secretary...)
Entity (this is the office they work at? If I create a root entity of "Sales" and a child entity of "Boston" because the person works there, I select "Boston"?)
It's the default entiy of the user. So, yes select Boston
OR, is there a video or really concrete descriptor for each item on this page I can view?
No, you only have the official documentation (partially translated in English): https://forge.indepnet.net/projects/glpidoc/files

Hello all and sorry for replying to such an old topic.
I'm new to GLPI and I wanted to clarify something about Administrative Number. And since it was already asked here, I didn't want to create a new topic.
So, Administrative Number is the number that is given to the employee/customer in company's system?
For example in our company every employee/customer has an entry to our system along with it's type (e.g. employee, supplier, customer, etc)
My number for example is 2458. So Administrative Number is like that?
Because when we will create new users in GLPI we need to also include that employee/customer number.
Does Administrative Number is the appropriate field to use?
Thank you all!
