Looks like your color blue is not right.
Look through the css and adjust to your liking.

If you review your ccs file (styles.css) - look for lines that are similar to this:
/* background-color: #f2f2f2; */
background-color: #DBE4F3;
This is the old color and new color. If your new colors are not what you get rendered on the webpage, then perhaps your monitor's color is off.
Try a different browser and/or monitor to also test.
Thanks,
Dan

Okay, I have dropped the updated files into the following zip file: http://webmail.hayley-group.co.uk/hosted/misc/glpi.zip.
Please also note that these files and changes are set against GLPI v0.83 (with previous upgrades of GLPI I have noticed some of the CSS seems to move from file to file!).
COPY FILES AS FOLLOWS:
glpi.zip GLPI SERVER \css\* --> /usr/share/glpi/css/ \pics\* --> /usr/share/glpi/pics/

Hi Elliot,
I followed your instructions to the letter and have to say that your theme is beautiful and works really well.
The only part that did not work well for me is the login screen.
After applying the css changes and copying over the pngs, it basically lost all styling. Any tips about why it might be happening?
I am using the latest glpi, version 0.84.2. Could this be the reason?
Thanks again for the great theme.

I know just from observing that the layout of the login screne changed in this latest version (from 0.83). Maybe the CSS changed with the layout?

hello again,
since there is a new layout at the login screen in 0.84.x I was wondering if there maybe is a new login_glpi.png adapted to the new layout? would be great.
thanks in advance

I saw a concept filter (plugin) a while returning, but what I am really looking for is a fast for beginners on the CSS linens so I can change the sprinkle display, the images, design, etc.

Do you have any experience with style sheets?
They all work the same. Just open the ones from GLPI and look through it for color and image tags.
Keep a copy of the original and make 1 change at a time so you can see what it is you are changing.
The down side is that this will be replaced when you update the program.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't replied until now. We're still using GLPI, and loving it, but time is in short supply around here
Anyway, I did have to adjust our theme etc to work with GLPI v0.84. I'm not totally happy with it yet: it still needs more time and tweaking, but here's the files for our new theme:
http://webmail.hayley-group.co.uk/hoste … _theme.zip
As before, you need to copy the contained image files (found in the zip's 'pics' folder) over your existing GLPI default ones, so obviously back up your originals first.
I have changed how we handle the CSS. I am now using over-riders which are more easy to deal with, especially following GLPI updates/upgrades! Basically, you need to copy the two CSS files found in the zip to the GLPI 'css' folder (don't overwrite your existing files - these are additional files!), then edit the following two default CSS files in GLPI and add a new line referencing the over-rider CSS files, to the very top of each file:
ext-all-glpi.css
styles.css
For ext-all-glpi.css, you need to add:
@import url('hgp-ext-all-glpi.css');
For styles.css you need to add:
@import url('hgp-styles.css');
I cannot stress enough, these lines must be added to the very start of each respective file, preceding all the programmer's comments etc.
If you want to take a look at the two new CSS files I've included, you will see that each CSS entry has an "!important" attribute. This means they will over-ride any styles previously set. You can use this method to include any additional over-riding CSS you wish.
As indicated, whenever GLPI receives an update in the future, you just need to re-edit the two CSS files and add those two references to the over-rider files again.
Hope this is of some use to anyone, in whatever capacity
Elliot
P.S. Don't forget to force-refresh (CTRL-F5) your browser cache like crazy when playing with CSS changes

Elliot,
Have you considered porting your theme into the Themes plugin? Then, as long as the plugin is up-to-date, your theme would be easily selected by your users.

Hi MET-IT,
No, I can't say that I have. To be honest when I've looked at the theme plugin in the past, or seen it discussed on the forums, it's not been supported in the latest version of GLPI or there have been apparent problems with it, leading me to shy away.
My theme is no where near complete but if I get time I might re-look at the theme plugin and maybe try to implement a more finished version.
Cheers.

Thank you Elliot!
I just made a clean login, ready for customization.
Wanted a clean login page similar to this, i'm using version 0.84.5. The link provided Elliot is broken.
I'm trying to use Firefox + Firebug, but without much success.
If anyone can help, thank you.

Thanks in advance!
