Can We Use SQL Express for GLPI

Hi All,

For database can we use SQL Express ?

Nope.
MySQL (>4.1.2) or MariaDB are supported.

Thanks for your reply, Is there any chances of using SQL Server ? Can we make any modifications in GLPi files to make it compatible with SQL...

you're allowed to fork GLPI and make it sqlserver compatible.

but :
-sql express database size is limited
-you need to review all the source code ( thouthands of lines)
-you need to know exactly how glpi works to modify.
-you need hundreds of work hours

-you won't be able to upgrade unless you fork again new version from mysql to sql server


so from my point of view it doesn't make sense to use  SQL Express .
