Hide the Category field in GLPI 0.90.3

When i edit the Ticket Template (default or a brand new template) in "hidden fields" I'm not able to choose the field "Categories". I do not want the simplified screen appears this field.
In the "mandatory fields" and the "predefined fields" it appears to me normally.
I remember the old versions I could put this field as hidden.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Thank you.

Re: Hide the Category field in GLPI 0.90.3

Which old version?
For me you can't hide category because you can have a ticket template associate to the categorie.
If you don't want that your post-only user change this field, you can define that each ticket category is not visible for simplified interface

CentOS 6.5 - CentOS 7.x
PHP 5.6 - PHP 7.x - MySQL 5.6  - MariaDB 10.2 + APC + oOPcache
GLPI from 0.72 to dev version
Certifiée ITIL (ITV2F, ITILF, ITILOSA)

Hi yllen, thanks for answering me.
To answer your first question, I already worked with various versions of GLPI but really do not know tell you what they were.
As you can see in the pictures, there are categories linked to the ticket template and a simplified interface.
Leave no visible categories in the simplified interface will not remove the field and can cause more issues with users.

If category is mandatory, you can't hide it because how you user can select it?

Re: Hide the Category field in GLPI 0.90.3

Hello again.
I didn't put "category" as required field. I just wanted to emphasize that it appears in other menus.
Any other ideas?

Re: Hide the Category field in GLPI 0.90.3

You posted 4 pictures. In pictures 2 there is yes select. I hope your active setting is no otherwise please set to no and try again.

"Visible in simple Interface" please set this option to no and test again.

Re: Hide the Category field in GLPI 0.90.3

Work, but does not work. As I said above:

Leave no visible categories in the simplified interface will not remove the field and can cause more issues with users.

Any other ideas?

Re: Hide the Category field in GLPI 0.90.3

Same goes here. I do not want to let the user choose a "category". In fact I don't want them to choose a "type" either.

The user should only have to enter a description of his problem and have the option to add an attachment.
All other fields would be filled in by the helpdesk.

Unfortunately, it is impossible not to show the categories field.

I'm using 0.90.4 and have at the moment no ticket categores in the system.

Could you please add an option to hide this fields in a future version?
